Drive I/O Terms & Agreement
Welcome to Drive I/O, a Chrome extension that helps you copy folder structures and manage permissions within Google Drive. By using our extension, you agree to these terms:
Service Description
Drive I/O lets you select folders in Google Drive, duplicate their structure and contents into another location, and perform bulk permission removals across multiple files and folders using either our Chrome extension or Google Workspace add-on.
Google Account Use
You must be signed into the corresponding Google account that owns the Drive content you want to manage. Drive I/O operates exclusively within the signed-in account.
Google Drive Permissions
Drive I/O requires full access to your Google Drive using the 'auth/drive' scope to perform operations such as folder duplication, permission management, and file organization. This access is necessary for the service to function properly and manage your Drive content on your behalf. Drive I/O undergoes Google-approved third-party security examination and assessment to ensure compliance with Google's security standards and data protection requirements.
Data Storage
We store folder and file names and IDs on our servers for history tracking and functionality purposes. This data is not encrypted in storage.
Data Sharing
No user data is sold, rented, or shared with any third parties.
Pricing and Notifications
Pricing for Drive I/O may change in the future. Users will receive at least 21 days' notice prior to any price adjustment.
Refund Policy
When you start a free trial or purchase any Drive I/O plan, you acknowledge and confirm that you are subscribing to the plan, price, and billing term (monthly, yearly, or one-time, as displayed at the Stripe checkout) that you selected. If you are on a free trial, you understand and agree that unless you cancel before the trial period ends, your payment method on file will be charged automatically when the free trial ends, at the applicable subscription price and for the billing cadence you chose. Because this information is shown clearly before you complete checkout or begin a trial, charges are generally non-refundable: Drive I/O does not offer refunds, partial credits, or payment reversals for change of mind, mistaken purchase, dissatisfaction with the service as described, or for failing to cancel a free trial before it ends (including where you did not intend to continue but did not cancel in time), except where required by applicable law. We may issue a refund or credit where we verify a defect in Drive I/O’s software or billing systems—for example, you were charged more than the price shown at checkout, charged twice for the same subscription period, billed after you had already canceled in accordance with these Terms, or paid access did not activate after a successful payment due to a confirmed error on our side. Contact support with details; we will investigate in good faith.
AI Features
If Drive I/O integrates AI technology, you will be notified in advance and given the option to allow or deny use of your data for training.
User Responsibility
Users are responsible for ensuring compliance with Google API usage policies and applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
Drive I/O is provided "as is" without any warranty. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the service.
Updates to Terms
Changes to these terms will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use indicates acceptance of the new terms.
Updates and Maintenance Mailing List
All users will be added to our mailing list to receive updates and/or maintenance notifications related to the app.
Promotional Mailing List
Users can opt in to be added to our promotions and rewards mailing list.
Google Workspace Add-on External Server Communication
Regarding the Google Workspace Add-on version of Drive I/O: By using this service, you acknowledge and agree that the application relies on external server communication to perform complex administrative tasks that exceed the limitations of the local script environment. These tasks include, but are not limited to, the bulk replication of Google Drive structures, automated user creation, and the processing of financial transactions through Stripe. The use of the script.external_request scope is a core technical requirement for these features; therefore, granting this permission is necessary for the application to function. While we implement industry-standard security protocols for all external data transfers, our liability is limited to the processing of metadata required for these service-related actions, and we do not assume responsibility for the independent privacy practices of Stripe or other integrated third-party platforms.
Right to Refuse Service
Drive I/O reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse service, terminate accounts, or limit access to the application for any user at any time and for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to, instances of suspected trial abuse, violation of these Terms, unauthorized use of the software, or engagement in behavior that compromises the security and integrity of our systems. In cases of service refusal or account termination, Drive I/O is not liable for any loss of data or disruption of workflow.
Prohibited Use
Users are strictly prohibited from using Drive I/O for any illegal activities or to circumvent Google Drive’s native security and sharing policies. Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to: creating multiple accounts to exploit free trial offers, using automated scripts to stress-test our backend infrastructure, or utilizing the application to facilitate the unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material. Any violation of these standards will result in an immediate and permanent ban from all Drive I/O services.
Acceptable Behavior
By using Drive I/O, you agree to interact with our services in a manner that respects our infrastructure and other users. Acceptable use includes using the application's features as intended through the provided Chrome Extension or Google Workspace Add-on interface. You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer our code, bypass our payment systems, or use the service to perform bulk operations that intentionally degrade the performance of our dedicated servers.
Omni™ Terms
Omni™ is a mini application offered by Drive I/O. By using Omni™, you acknowledge that we do not store any of your data or personally identifiable information on our servers or in our database. All Omni data resides locally on your device, including the IDs of your starred photos and the results of folder copy operations. When you log in to Omni™, your access token and ID token are transmitted to the client application to facilitate authentication, but these tokens are not stored on our servers or in our database. We assign a unique account identifier solely to enforce a 24-hour time window that limits folder copying for folders containing fewer than 50 items. This identifier does not contain personally identifiable information. Omni™ is a trademark of Drive I/O.
